Blog Transfer (again)

Because I’m not really satisfied using WordPress and because Joomla gives me much more opportunities, I’ve transferred (again) my blog to an apart section of my own website Steek de Draak. Finally, YouTube announced that there will be full-length televisionshows on the website. Let’s hope so, and let’s hope it’s available everywhere, anytime and for free. Request for the YouTube uploaders: ‘Allo ‘Allo. When this British sitcom is available at YouTube, it saves me really much on buying DVD’s.

Although the place to be for technological dreams is, or was, Silicon Valley in the United States, the Lowlands have their own valley: Eindhoven. In the seventies and the eighties a museum called the Evoluon exposed modern technology that might change the world. Some say that UFO-like building looks like a boob, including the nipple. With silicones!

Why on earth are there polls on websites where you have tot vote if you don’t want to vote? Why do polls have a ‘no opinion’-choice?

A. ‘No opinions’ are important too for surveys

B. People don’t take pollmaking serious

C. No opinion

Social networksite Hyves is declared ‘website of the year’ by internet users in The Netherlands. About fifty percent of the Dutch own a profile on this fast growing social network site. But what is Hyves and how to study it?

While exploring Twitter I found a suspended account: BeerOfTheDay that ‘is being investigated due to strange activity’. Why? Was ‘Heineken’ a Beer Of The Day?

Wikipedia’s criterion: Google

Creating a hoax on Wikipedia isn’t that difficult. Just write it down and save it. But it won’t take long before the Wiki-officials will delete it. This afternoon, I created a fake ’legend’ and wrote a Wiki about it. Four hours later, the Wiki was removed. Why? ‘Nonsense: there’s nothing about it on Google and there are no sources.’ So, if you’re not on Google, you have never excisted.

 

Picnic08 – Just a Photocollage

For those who don’t have €1200 in the pocket and so aren’t able to get inside the Picnic sites that really matter, Picnic offered some free activities. I was enjoying the sun and a coffee, watching some homeless people fighting nearby, joining the free activities and jealously spotting ‘all acces’-keycords.
